Turkey ranks 43rd to 33rd in the World Bank's Commerce List "Doing Business Index": Finance Minister Beirut Albuquerque
Turkey's Finance Minister Beirut Albuquerque has said that Turkey has risen from 43 to 33rd in the World Bank's prepared business listing "Doing Business Index". This year, the World Bank's Doing Business Index jumped 17th from the 60th position to 43rd in the list, and according to the bank's 2020 report released today, Turkey jumped 10 more places to 43rd from 33rd. Albuquerque adds, "I will be working with all of my colleagues on contributing to the ongoing Doing Business Reform work led by the Ministry of Finance. Congratulations to the Ethiopians, employees of all relevant ministries and government agencies, and the Turkish Union of Chamber and Exchange Commodities. Reforms will continue and we will further enhance our successes in areas such as business start-up, tax payment and foreign trade. "We aim to take Turkey's investment environment to a higher level, especially by further reducing the value and increasing the productivity of business life," said Treasury Buret Albuquerque.
